Guillermo Pastrana and Kaunus continue to conquer stages

On June 26, the second concert of this month of the RTVE Choir took place within the Classical Music Season of National Heritage. The cellist Guillermo Pastrana performed in concert with the Choir of the Basilica of San Lorenzo de El Escorial directed by Ignacio García Vidal.

The concert featured the works Thrinos and Svyati, by the British composer John Tavener (1944-2013), the ‘Stabat Mater’ by the Norwegian composer, organist, choir director and pedagogue Knut Nystedt (1915-2014), and the piece ‘Serenity. O Magnum Mysterium’ by the Norwegian composer and pianist Ola Gjeilo (b. 1978).

Kaunus has been able to step onto Spanish stages again, this time in Madrid, accompanying Guillermo Pastrana in his performance next to the stool that bears his name Pastrana and that the creator and founder of Kaunus, Zayda Jiménez, personally gave him in May.
