Meeting between the founder of Kaunus, Zayda Jiménez and the cellist Guillermo Pastrana
On May 8, a very emotional and special moment took place for Kaunus and its founder, Zayda Jiménez. The center for higher musical education, MusicalARTS, was the space chosen for the artist and creator to meet, giving Guillermo Pastrana a very special gift, the stool that bears his name Pastrana and that he himself inspired.
The cellist Guillermo Pastrana is considered one of the most influential Spanish artists of today. Possessing a beautiful and powerful sound, Pastrana displays originality in his interpretations without abandoning the essence and purity of the music, becoming a versatile and authentic performer who reaches the public in a sincere and direct way.
For Zayda, each stool, each Legend is unique. In his own words, “I am inspired by my heart, by what I feel when I see and hear music. Each stool is inspired by a pianist or cellist that I admire. They have been my inspiration when designing. Their interpretations have provoked an emotion in me that has led me to try to reflect the traits that I sense in them in my designs, that is why each Legend has its own personality and in the case of Pastrana, his distinctive feature is the essence.”
Without a doubt, it was a unique moment to see and hear Guillermo Pastrana sitting on the stool that he and his art inspired. It is a great pride for Kaunus that an artist of his talent and recognition represents its brand.
